BDS Admission Minimum Requirements:
- Applicants for this position must be citizens of Bangladesh and have completed their SSC or equivalent exam in 2022 or 2023 and HSC or equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry & Biology) in examination 2023 or 2023.
- Applicants who have already passed SSC examination before 2023, are not eligible for the 2022-21 admission test.
- To enter the general category, you must have a minimum of 8.0 total CGPA in SSC and HSC or an equivalent exam. You must also have a minimum 3.5 CGPA in both SSC and HSC or an equivalent exam, in Bangladesh and abroad.
- For all Bangladeshi tribal and non-tribal applicants of the Chittagong Hill Tracts area, a CGPA of 7.0 in SSC and HSC or equivalent is required. If you get a CGPA below 3.0 separately in any of the exams, your application will be rejected. The CGPA will apply to foreign students as well as those to want to be admitted in private medical colleges in session 2021-22.
- For all kinds of applicants, a GPA of 3.5 in Biology is required.

BDS Admission Test Mark Distributions:
Those students who are preparing for medical admission tests should prepare for 200 questions. 100 of the questions test your GPA and the other 100 questions test your knowledge of the subject. There were 30 questions about biology, 25 about chemistry, 20 about physics, 15 about English, 6 about Bangladeshi history and culture, and 4 about international affairs.
For medical admissions, you have to have your GPA count. In this case, golden A+ has the same value as A+. If you have a 5.00 CGPA in SSC and HSC both, then your score is 100. If you want to apply for medical college, then you need an 8.00 CGPA.
Each year, the medical school admissions committee holds an entrance exam on Fridays from 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM. The test is one hour long and consists of multiple-choice questions. The test is scored and applicants are ranked based on their scores. The highest scorers receive the majority of the spots in the new class.
The MCQs will be scored as follows: 1 mark cut off for every wrong answer, 4 marks cut off for a wrong answer. There is more than one correct answer to some questions. If the answer is not multiple-choice, then do not give any marks. If there are 2 correct answers, then both will be given marks. The total marks that can get admission are around 160.
